I love how the description is so adamant about how "100% free" this game is, when theres a fat ad banner sitting there the whole time. Ad-supported does not = free! I also love how the screenshots are deceptively missing the permanent ad banner.

I love mahjong but cant enjoy this game thanks to the ever-present ads. DELETED.
I have it installed on my iphone 3gs and I love it. On my 2g ipod touch its frustrating because when I exit the game it doesnt save it! Dont like the ads either--too distracting.
Like the game, but the tiles are too small to tap.
Enjoy playing this game, and would give more stars if the America express banner didnt cover up my score.
This is the best free mahjong I have found: more difficult level, good esthetics, not irritant sounds.
Definitely one of the better mahjong games available. However, I do wish that somewhere is said what the requirements are for unlocking the other tiles.
This is the best Mahjong I have every played. It gets progressively harder, and you have to complete each board before going to the next one!
Downloaded the free game when it was first offered. There were no indications of ads whatsoever? Thoroughly enjoyed the play, the high quality of the graphics and minimalist size of the app. Then within a couple of days, the ads were placed within the game! I would rather the developer tell me within their descriptions that ads will be added to their games or put a purchase price for their apps. As many of us know, this is a regular practice with a few developers, not all. May I say in closing, that you have developed a great game app and that many of us would gladly pay for So Chic Mahjong without the ads!
Graphics are razor sharp and nice. Music too repetitive, though, and hard to differentiate the layers of tiles. I played one round where I couldnt find a move, and it wasnt until I pressed the help icon that I was told there were no more moves (strange, as I ran out of moves playing an earlier round and it told me there were no more moves without me having to press the help icon). Still, its a nice game as far as free games are concerned. Best mahjong game Ive played on the iPhone (and Ive played many): Mahjong Elements (when I bought it a year or so ago, it was $2.99, but I think they since reduced the price to $.99).
This is the prettiest Mahjong game Ive seen, with gorgeous textures, tiles, and backgrounds. It plays well, and the timer and unlockables add impetus to improve. Three quibbles: 1. Sound. The music is repetitive and has little nuance; the tile clicks are a little harsh. 2. Lack of instructions. Every Mahjong game has some differences in game play. It would help to explain this games unique play. The numbered tiles, for example, dont work like in other games. 3. The help function. In this game, pressing "Help" results in the instant disappearance of a pair of tiles. As a player, I want to know which tiles I missed. Highlighting them momentarily (or even until I click on them) would give me that information. Im looking forward to updates.
Locked out of last column of each page. Any ideas for correction? Otherwise its a fun game
It is gorgeous, but it is not clear how to unlock tiles/achievements, and once you find that out (searching online), the times you have to beat are impossible for a casual user like me. Once I finished all the levels, I tried beating records, and find I have no incentive to continue any further. Still, I am impressed with the developers efforts and online feedback, so I will have to check for updates ...
It would be a three and a half if it could reshuffle.
Still monumentally unimpressed with the requirements for unlocking the "extra" levels. Mahjong is supposed to be relaxing. Adding a time rush element is lame.
Would be a nice game, but ingame ads are too large and very intrusive. Not worth of downloading, necause 1/4 of your screen belongs to the ad!
App creator did some fine work, but the ancient game of Mahjong is a strategy & thinking game, not a speed event. I paid a good price for this & did not expect a large permanent ad block on the screen in a spot where I accidentally hit it sometimes & have to go out of the game to avoid the x!#!*!! ads- which takes extra time, by the way. Fix these & youll have a beautiful game.
Beautiful games graphics, but the timing element has to go. It would take forever to advance to the next level. I will keep a eye on this app to install later if these issues are taken care of.
This game plays smoothly; no issues. But the requirements for unlocking the extra levels and tile sets and backgrounds are so steep I dont think many people will ever get to appreciate them. And I say this as someone who has been playing this kind of game since Shanghai for the Amiga!!!!! Update: Since the game was updated the requirements for unlocking the extra levels and tilesets and backgrounds are now just a matter of playing lots of games. If you can clear the stack at all you should be able to do it in ten minutes. Some of the layouts are very hard. And it still works fine.
I seriously cant stand it when a developer doesnt offer the option to remove ads, either by an in-app purchase or a premium version of the app. I will not keep apps with ads on my phone. Uninstalled.
